In order to improve the regional air transport options, the Košice Self-governing region became a member of the Council of Airport Regions (ARC) in June 2020. Thanks to the ARC membership, the Košice Self-governing region has the opportunity to speak at EU level on matters relating to airports and aviation, to acquire an extensive access to the expertise in matters of airports regions and to contribute to the development of the airport located in Košice region.
